How to reserve a puppy!
How much is the deposit?
The deposit is $500 and is applied toward the total purchase price of $2000 for our 2026 litter. We can add you to the waiting list free of charge, deposits are taken after the birth of the puppies.
Do I get to choose my puppy?
Yes! The ultimate decision is yours alone, but we will try to help guide you in the right direction based on what you have told us about your personality, preferences and living situation. Are you looking for a high energy athlete, or a family pooch that enjoys cuddle time on the couch? Does your puppy need to have a low prey drive because you have other small pets in the home? As the puppies personalities emerge we will keep the puppy parents in the loop so we can help you choose the best fit for your family.
Who gets to pick first?
The order of choice goes by the order in which deposits are received. We won't know how many puppies there are (or how many deposits to take) until after they are born, so we wait to take any money until that time. However its important to get on the waiting list as soon as possible!
We will contact the people on the waiting list in the order that they initially contacted us, to give them the opportunity to place a deposit. You can be added to the waiting list now, free of charge, by calling or texting us at 615-427-0215. We just need your full name, the city/state you live in, a good email address and phone number as well as your preferred gender and puppy color.
Everyone on the list will get updates about the progress of the pregnancy and the birth, including pictures of pregnant mom, doting dad and pictures during the birth! After all the puppies are born and confirmed healthy, we will start reaching out to everyone on the list (in the order that they first contacted us) to give them the opportunity to place a deposit. The deposit will guarantee you a puppy from that litter, and the order that deposits are placed will determine the order families get to choose in. We recommend everyone waits to make their final choice until the puppies are old enough for their personalities to start emerging.
Can you guarantee a specific color or gender?
The order of choice is determined by the order in which deposits were made, the further you are down the list the fewer puppies there will be to choose from.
As far as gender goes, when deposits are made you can choose to be on the boy waiting list or the girl waiting list. So if gender is important to you, we can guarantee at the time your deposit is placed which gender you will get.
Preferred color is harder to guarantee. Because we let our puppy parents make their final choice as to which puppy they get, until the families ahead of you in order or choice have picked, we won't know for sure which puppies are still going to be available to choose from.
If color is a deciding factor for you, you could wait to reserve your puppy until the official picking date. The puppies personalities will start to emerge around 3-4 weeks but will become more obvious by 5-6 weeks. In the 5th week we will let families make their final choices. So if you wait to put down your deposit until the puppies are 5 weeks old, you will know for sure exactly which ones are still available (if any). The problem is we generally have all puppies spoken for by that time, so if you choose to wait there may not be any puppies still available.
As we take deposits, we will keep a running list of the color preferences of those that have already placed deposits ahead of you. So if you are not the first deposit/first choice we can tell you what the preferences are of the families picking before you. If you are #4 on the boy list and there are 3 black boys and only one chocolate boy, I will be able to tell you if #1,#2, or #3 are wanting black only, or if any of them have their heart set on chocolate, so you can have an idea of what might still be available.
Once your puppy is chosen, we will send weekly (or daily if you like!) updates and pictures of your special pup.
Is the deposit refundable?
The deposit is non-refundable. The only exception to this rule is if a puppy is seriously injured or dies, leaving us with fewer puppies than we have families with deposits. If you are unable to get a puppy because of a death or injury in the litter your deposit will be refunded. We do not refund deposits because you changed your mind or are no longer able to take a puppy due to personal reasons.
When can I take my puppy home?
Puppies are ready for their new homes between 8-10 weeks from birth. There are two natural fear periods puppies go through, and these are not ideal times to leave the comfort and security of the litter and mom. Each puppy will be different but most will be ready to go around the 8-9 week mark. Once your puppy is chosen, we will keep you updated on their progress and do our best to accommodate your time-frame for travel time/pickup. As long as a puppy isn't in an active fear period they should be good to go!
When will I be able to choose my puppy?
Around 5-6 weeks old each puppies personality will be pretty apparent. The order of choice is determined by the order in which deposits were placed, so when choosing time arrives that is the order of go. We will do our best to showcase each puppy's unique personality so we can help match energy level and personality to each family. The ultimate choice is yours, but we will have recommendations for you based on our knowledge of the litter.
